Message from the Chairs
Dear CSR Community,
Having the safety and well-being of all conference participants as our top priority, the CSR Organizing Committee has been monitoring the evolving COVID-19 pandemic with the support of the IEEE.
Announcements, guidance, and news released by relevant global and national organizations, like the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Hellenic National Public Health Organization (NPHO), have been continuously studied and evaluated.
Travel and other restrictions (e.g. on public gatherings) have been put into force by many governments, and also suggested by the IEEE travel policy. Such restrictions are likely to continue in the foreseeable future.
The CSR Steering Committee had a meeting to discuss all options for the conference. Given the great deal of uncertainty on how the situation will evolve, the difficult decision was made to not have 2021 IEEE CSR Conference being held as a physical event (initially scheduled for July 26-28th in Rhodes, Greece), but as an all-online virtual event instead.
The Organizing Committees of the IEEE CSR conference and its workshops are in the process of making the necessary arrangements to ensure a smooth transition towards a virtual event. Not being able to deliver the full conference experience that CSR participants would expect, new registration and sponsorship policies have been adopted with reduced fees.
Further announcements will be posted, as soon as information becomes available, to keep the CSR Community members informed. We appreciate your patience during this transition and look forward to welcoming you at our virtual event.
Thank you,
2021 IEEE CSR Conference Chairs
